Desert Storm Vets and Illnesses
When deployed to Desert Storm I among the thougsands I served with were exposed to evironmental hazzards. First and most obvious was the oil well fires. I have been trying to contact members of my unit, the 9th Engineer Battalion and the 237th Engineer Battalion, both located in Germany at that time, to see how many others are sick. I didin't have any problems until about 2003, at least not that I admitted to. I was toughing it out until it got me. Luckily I was on active duty when it was discovered so I will be covered but more by the VA then the Army. The people at Walter Reed need their heads examined! Anyway, if you are a Desert Storm Vet and have gotten sick, or even in you aren't please chime in. You may know someone who is sick and can tell their story or let them know about this blog. We need to get the Army and the Pentagon to admit the oil fire toxins caused problems and that the sarin gas factory demolition exposed us even more. Join the fight! Do it for your buddies, and for the vets who went through problems just like this before us. Make our service count!!
