When deployed to Desert Storm I among the thougsands I served with were exposed to evironmental hazzards. First and most obvious was the oil well fires. I have been trying to contact members of my unit, the 9th Engineer Battalion and the 237th Engineer Battalion, both located in Germany at that time, to see how many others are sick. I didin't have any problems until about 2003, at least not that I admitted to. I was toughing it out until it got me. Luckily I was on active duty when it was discovered so I will be covered but more by the VA then the Army. The people at Walter Reed need their heads examined! Anyway, if you are a Desert Storm Vet and have gotten sick, or even in you aren't please chime in. You may know someone who is sick and can tell their story or let them know about this blog. We need to get the Army and the Pentagon to admit the oil fire toxins caused problems and that the sarin gas factory demolition exposed us even more. Join the fight! Do it for your buddies, and for the vets who went through problems just like this before us. Make our service count!!

I wnated to start this blog to join other Vets who have had to go through the Army disability rating system and the Physical Evaluation Board proceedings and ended up with an unfair rating. I recently depleted what I thought was my last effort to fight the rating I got for having Muliple Scelrosis and PTSD. Then a few weeks later I was told I was being placed on the Temporary Disablity Retired List. I guess they think this catastrophic disease is going to get better in a year and half. I have to go back to be reevaluated in 2010. So they have put my life on hold. I won't stand for it and I am pissed! I am going to fight as hard as I can! Join in! We served our nation, and when something goes wrong, we are shuffled out of the system and given a stipend and told to let the Veterans Administration handle it! Thats not right! So join in, throw out you story and be heard by the world!!
